Fire Marshal / Janitor
Location: Brookings, OR
Department: Maintenance
Pay: $23.83 per hour (after probationary period)
Schedule: Day shift | 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM | 6 days per week | Monday-Saturday

Pacific Wood Laminates is seeking a dependable and self-driven individual to join our Maintenance Department as a Fire Marshal / Janitor This role plays a key part in supporting plant operations through daily cleaning, supply restocking, and fire prevention efforts. Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and sanitize restrooms and breakrooms daily

• Pick up trash and maintain cleanliness across designated plant areas

• Restock restroom, breakroom, and shop supplies regularly

• Ensure PPE stations (e.g., earplugs) remain stocked

• Monitor supply levels and communicate restock needs

• Empty banding containers and dispose of waste properly

• Operate a forklift to support various facility needs

• Conduct daily safety walk-throughs and fire prevention checks

• Assist with additional duties as assigned by your supervisor

Qualifications:

• Valid forklift certification or willingness to obtain it

• Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic

• Able to work independently and as part of a team

• Attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean workspace

• Ability to follow safety protocols and report concerns promptly

• Clear communication skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions
