We're looking for an experienced Fire Engineer to join our thriving Development Consultancy team.
The main scope of the role is to provide expert fire safety guidance to our architectural teams on fire safety engineering and ADB solutions to meet Part B of the Building Regulations. You will also play a key role in the inspection and audit of both new and existing buildings, acting as a technical lead in assessing active and passive fire safety measures and producing comprehensive findings and recommendations reports.
Working closely with our Fire Engineers and Building Safety team, you will be involved in the full project lifecycle: from producing fire strategies (in accordance with ADB, BS 9991 & BS 9999) and undertaking CFD modelling, to performing Fire Risk Assessments (FRAs), FRAEWs, and acting as a BAFE validator. Beyond design and site inspection, you will support our consultancy work for DLUHC, assist in the production of building safety cases, and provide vital training to clients and residents.
The role also carries commercial and project management responsibilities, including the preparation of fee proposals, project financial management, and attending design team meetings. You will also assist our Partners and Directors in the ongoing development and growth of PRP’s fire safety service offering.
If you would like to be part of a growing, multidisciplinary team and are keen to share your technical knowledge and further develop your expertise in building safety, we’d love to hear from you.
