Job Description

PiLON, part of the United Infrastructure Group, specialises in planned maintenance, refurbishment, and repairs within the social housing sector. With over 20 years of experience, we are known for delivering quality work with care and respect for the communities we serve.

We are currently looking for experienced Fire Door Repair Carpenters to support our Growing Fire Stopping project across London and surrounding areas

Duties:

  • Carry out fire door repairs and remedial works.
  • Adjust, repair and maintain existing fire doors.
  • Replace hinges, closers, handles, locks, seals and other fire door components.
  • Fit intumescent strips and smoke seals.
  • Carry out remedial works identified during fire door inspections.
  • Install and replace fire doors where required.
  • Ensure all works are completed in line with fire door compliance requirements.
  • Complete works in occupied and void properties.

Requirements:

  • Valid CSCS card
  • Own van and tools
  • Asbestos Awareness
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Experience working in social housing
  • Own tools (110V or battery‑operated)
  • All operatives must hold a relevant NVQ qualification
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to follow fire safety procedures
