We are seeking a motivated Alarm Technician Trainee to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in the fire protection and life safety industry.
Position Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Respond to service calls for troubleshooting and repair of existing fire alarm and low-voltage systems
Assist with programming and testing of fire alarm and related systems
Participate in rotating on-call schedule (after-hours service response when assigned)
Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, and product manuals
Carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 50 lbs.
Work in unusual or confined spaces including ladders, lifts, crawl spaces, and above ceilings
Utilize a variety of hand and power tools
Maintain professional relationships with customers and their staff
Work flexible hours including occasional weekends and overtime as required
Overnight travel may be required
Qualifications
Experience installing or servicing Fire Alarm, Security, Voice/Data, or CCTV systems preferred
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
OSHA 10 certification preferred (not required)
Ability to successfully pass a drug test
Must pass background check to obtain required licensing
Strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and ability to work independently and as part of a team
