National Network Services (NNS) is seeking a motivated and dependable Fire Alarm Service Helper to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or grow a career in the fire alarm and life safety industry.

The Fire Alarm Service Helper will assist experienced technicians with the inspection, testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, and service of fire alarm and life safety systems. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, safely conscious, comfortable working with tools, and eager to learn.

What You’ll Do

• Assist Fire Alarm Technicians with service, inspection, testing, and maintenance of fire alarm systems
• Assist with troubleshooting fire alarm panels, initiating devices, notification appliances, and related equipment
• Learn to identify and diagnose system issues under the direction of experienced technicians
• Help install, replace, label, and maintain fire alarm devices and related equipment
• Use hand tools, power tools, ladders, lifts, and testing equipment as required
• Assist with running and terminating low-voltage/fire alarm wiring
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow all company safety procedures and applicable fire alarm codes and standards
• Assist technicians with completing service reports, inspection documentation, and work orders
• Load, unload, organize, and maintain tools and materials
• Travel to customer locations as required
• Represent NNS professionally while working at customer facilities
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the service team

What You’ll Bring

• Previous experience in fire alarm, low-voltage, electrical, security, telecommunications, or construction is a plus, but not required
• Mechanical or electrical aptitude and a willingness to learn
• Comfortable using basic hand tools
• Ability to work on ladders and perform physical tasks associated with the position
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Dependable, punctual, and professional
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
• Ability to pass any required background or employment screening

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry equipment and materials
• Ability to climb ladders and work at elevated heights
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work in various positions for extended periods
• Ability to work in commercial buildings, construction environments, mechanical rooms, and other customer locations
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors as required
