To enable this, we are seeking a highly detail-oriented Finishing Technician to join our 3D printing footwear production team in Austin, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for the final stages of product preparation, ensuring each 3D-printed component meets our strict quality standards before it moves to quality control, packaging and shipping. This position involves repetitive, meticulous hands-on work in a fast-paced production environment, ideal for individuals who take pride in precision and consistency.
Key Responsibilities
Clean and prepare 3D-printed footwear components, removing excess material and surface residue.
Identify and remove 3D printing “strings,” supports, and other artifacts to achieve a smooth finish.
Inspect all parts for visible defects such as cracks, warping, surface imperfections, or incomplete prints.
Perform consistent quality checks and follow established finishing procedures.
Report defects or recurring issues to production supervisors for follow-up.
Maintain an organized work area and follow all safety and handling protocols.
Meet daily productivity targets while upholding quality standards.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in manufacturing, production, or a similar hands-on role is a plus but not required.
Strong attention to detail and an ability to perform meticulous, repetitive tasks with consistency.
Good hand–eye coordination and manual dexterity.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow standardized work instructions.
Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn new processes.
