Summary

Join our manufacturing team as a Finishing Operator, where you’ll play an important role in producing high-quality parts that meet our customers’ exacting standards. In this hands-on position, you’ll use precision hand tools and measurement equipment to deburr, sand, polish, and finish parts throughout the manufacturing process. This is a great opportunity for someone who takes pride in craftsmanship, enjoys hands-on work, and is committed to quality and attention to detail.

What You’ll Do

  • Deburr, sand, polish, and finish manufactured parts to meet quality and cosmetic standards.
  • Use small hand tools to remove imperfections and improve the appearance and finish of parts.
  • Read and understand information provided on shop job travelers and follow documented work instructions.
  • Use basic precision measurement tools to verify parts meet specifications.
  • Track and compare estimated job times with actual production times to help improve manufacturing processes.
  • Follow standardized work procedures, safety requirements, and specific instructions provided by your supervisor.
  • Maintain a strong focus on quality, accuracy, and consistency throughout the manufacturing process.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong attention to detail and pride in producing quality work.
  • Ability to work carefully and consistently with small hand tools.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions.
  • Comfort using basic measurement tools or willingness to learn.
  • Dependable, safety-minded, and willing to work as part of a manufacturing team.
  • Previous manufacturing, finishing, deburring, sanding, polishing, or similar hands-on experience is a plus.

Job Requirements

  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, blueprints, and procedure manuals.
  • Understands processes used in removing scratches, excess weld material, and burs.
  • High degree of manual dexterity while using a microscope.
  • The use of a microscope is required for up to 8 hours per day.
  • Sitting for a long period up to 8 hours per day.
  • Strong written & oral communication skills to support business needs in an English-speaking environment.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with employees of the organization.
  • Ability to understand how their actions may affect other portions of the business.

Hours: Tuesday - Friday 3:00pm - 11:30pm and Saturday 7:00am - 3:30pm
