Job Description

The Dryer Operator plays a major role in the final finishing stage of production of Press fabrics for use in the pulp and paper industry. Over time the incumbent is trained in a variety of distinct tasks each associated with the classification of a Finishing Operator.

Qualifications

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

· Demonstrate the ability to assist in loading & unloading fabrics with a weight range of 40 –600 kilos at the Dryers & other finishing equipment

· Read and comprehend sales orders and manufacturing instructions

· Computer knowledge

· Must be able to safely operate all equipment in the Finishing department, including but not limited to dryers, perches and blue line after training.

· Operate Forklift

· Able to load/unload heavy fabrics when necessary

· Must be cautious, quality minded, and able to recognize problems immediately

· Perform other duties as required by supervision.

· Cross-train to other processes

· Maintains work area/environment
