About US Foundry: Neenah Foundry Miami is a leading manufacturer of municipal castings, specializing in creating high-quality, durable products for infrastructure and utility needs. The Finishing General Laborer plays a critical role in ensuring the quality of our cast products. This position involves performing manual tasks to finish, clean, and inspect castings, preparing them for shipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a physically demanding environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate hand tools, grinders, and other finishing equipment to remove excess material from castings.
• Inspect castings for defects, ensuring they meet quality standards.
• Clean castings using various methods, including sandblasting and water jets.
• Transport finished products to designated areas within the facility.
• Assist with loading and unloading materials as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following all safety protocols.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the supervisor immediately.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is preferred.
• Ability to use hand tools and operate finishing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to work in a noisy, dusty, and hot environment.
• Basic math skills and ability to read and follow instructions.
• Willingness to work overtime or weekends if required.

Work Environment:

• This position involves working in a foundry environment where temperatures can be high, and noise levels are elevated.
• Personal protective equipment (PPE) will be required, including gloves, safety glasses, ear protection, and steel-toed boots.
