Our client, a leading Tier 1 Main Contractor, is seeking an experienced Finishing Foreman to join their team on a long-term residential development in Galway City The successful candidate will play a key role in driving high-quality finishes across all internal and external elements of the project. This position offers long-term stability on a flagship build for one of Ireland’s most respected contractors. To excel in this role, the preferred candidate will possess strong finishing expertise, excellent coordination skills, and a proven record of delivering detail-driven work on large-scale residential projects.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate all finishing trades to ensure timely and high-quality completion.
Inspect workmanship regularly to maintain premium standards across all finishing activities.
Manage daily site operations relating to internal finishes, ensuring smooth workflow.
Liaise with the Site Manager, Engineers, and subcontractors to resolve finishing-related issues.
Ensure all finishing works comply with drawings, specifications, and quality benchmarks.
Oversee snagging processes and maintain detailed snag lists through to sign-off.
Maintain strong communication with subcontractors to ensure project milestones are met.
Implement and uphold safety procedures throughout all finishing stages.
Report progress updates and highlight any risks or delays to senior management.
Requirements
Minimum 4 years’ experience in a Finishing Foreman or similar finishing-focused site role.
Strong background in residential construction, particularly on multi-unit developments.
Excellent eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality finishes.
Strong communication and coordination skills when managing subcontractors and trades.
Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines while maintaining quality.
Relevant construction qualifications and valid safety certifications.
