High school diploma or GED; one year of experience in general office support work; experience in law enforcement or criminal justice setting preferred; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Ability to plan and coordinate workloads; ability to read; must have excellent organizational skills; knowledge of local, state, and federal fingerprint requirements and procedures preferred.
Current valid driver’s license and good driving record required. Based on the Virginia DMV point system, records must not reflect a total of six or more demerit points within the twenty-four months preceding the anticipated hire date, or one major violation of six demerit points within the preceding thirty-six months.
Must be able to pass a polygraph examination. Pre-employment drug testing, FBI criminal background investigation, and education/degree verification required. This position is subject to working in high security areas governed by the US Department of Justice's "Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy" and therefore requires successfully passing a more stringent criminal background check.
This position is considered Critical Safety Sensitive and is subject to random drug and alcohol testing. The use of medical marijuana for this position is prohibited.
PLEASE NOTE This is a part-time position located in the Chesterfield County Courts Building.
Must be able to interact in a polite and professional manner with the public. Coordinate and complete processes related to fingerprinting requirements initiated by the appropriate courts or upon citizen requests, utilizing LiveScan automated fingerprinting equipment. Troubleshoot and coordinate repair of automated fingerprinting equipment; assist public by answering questions and providing general information; submit weekly report capturing statistical data regarding quantity and type of fingerprints being conducted. Performs other duties as required and assigned by supervisor.
Approximately 28 hours/week; Monday - Friday; 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
