Job Description

Studio Monitors support the smooth operation of the studios for the BFA & MFA Fine Arts programs at 25 East 13th St. This position, intended for student worker employment, expects a commitment of 5 hours per week for 15 weeks during a regular (Fall or Spring) semester. Employees may be eligible for rehire during the following term.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Daily studio monitoring for all student studios on the 4th and 5th floors;
  • Maintaining installation space reservation calendars for the 4th and 5th floors;
  • Assist in maintaining and organizing art studio classrooms;
  • Support fellow students in the cleaning and organizing of storage areas on the 4th and 5th floors;
  • Ensuring students follow studio rules and best practices protocols;
  • Assist with art gallery activities as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Be enrolled in the BFA or MFA Fine Arts Program
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Quick understanding of existing guidelines and best practices for studio monitoring and functioning
  • Ability to work and communicate with students faculty and staff from both the BFA and MFA programs as well as the broader University community, faculty and staff

WORK MODE

  • On-Campus Position - Employees in this position are expected to work on-campus during regularly scheduled work hours due to the nature of the work being that which is not feasible, or not in the best interest of the organization, to be performed remotely. #LI-DNI

Hourly Rate: $20.00/hr
