
Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in fine arts, graphic arts, or related field required. In lieu of BA, will consider an Associate's degree from an accredited college in fine arts, graphic arts or related field with at least 2 years' experience. Must have excellent communication and interpersonal/instructional skills. Ability to provide quality customer service to all stakeholders. Understanding of digital media, computer hardware, and software systems. Knowledge /Understanding of developmental disabilities, person-centered model, and personal outcomes and ability to apply differentiated education, instruction, and training to persons of varying ability levels. Ability to work in self-directed and teamwork environments. Familiarity with a variety of art media, tools, and techniques and the instruction on all. Understanding of the process of creating, framing, and displaying art in a gallery or exhibit setting and/or for submission for consideration in contests. Demonstrated artistic talent. Ability to facilitate instruction of and expression through art. Flexibility and ability to multi-task. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, a plus. Must be adaptable, collaborative, creative, and mission driven. Must be available for occasional evening and weekend work to accomplish the outcomes of the job and represent MTC at special events.
Must pass a Level II background check/fingerprinting (https://info.flclearinghouse.com), drug screening, and FDOT/MVR check.

Recent Accomplishments: EXCEL, Excellence in Computer Education and Learning (Excellence in Computer Education and Learning) is a certificate based educational service for young adults on the Autism Spectrum and with related disabilities, preparing them for post secondary education or any setting where computer skills are required.
The program requires completion of industry courses as well as employment preparation courses, work-simulation experiences, self advocacy, peer-mentoring, independent living and social skills training.
MTC's signature job skills training, is “e-Quality” Recycling Solutions. eQuality Recycling Solutions maintains an environmental, health & safety management system in conformance with the requirements of the ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 standards. This system includes implementing appropriate programs and procedures, setting measurable goals and targets, and monitoring and auditing our progress. eQuality Recycling Solutions follows R2’s Reuse, Recover, & Recycle hierarchy & is a Microsoft Registered Refurbisher.
MTC won the contract to package and ship the SunPass transponder for Florida Turnpike Enterprise in 2007 & maintains this zero defect contract, as a pathway to employment for people with disabilities.
