In this role you will:
· Analyze financial systems and applications to identify performance bottlenecks, security vulnerabilities, and optimization opportunities
· Conduct root cause analysis on system incidents and implement permanent solutions
· Manage SQL Server database performance tuning, query optimization, and maintenance
· Support business application enhancements, troubleshooting, and integration with financial systems
· Collaborate with developers on system design, architecture reviews, and code quality assessments
· Create comprehensive technical documentation, system specifications, and process flows
· Evaluate emerging financial technology solutions and assess compatibility with existing infrastructure
· Monitor system performance metrics and capacity planning for Windows and Linux environments
· Participate in disaster recovery planning and business continuity testing
TECHNICAL ENVIRONMENT
- Windows Server infrastructure (2016/2019/2022)

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
· 7+ years of general work experience
· 5+ years of system analysis experience in a financial services or similarly regulated environment
· Knowledge of AI/ML fundamentals, including the ability to evaluate, artificial intelligence solutions for system operations
· Demonstrated expertise with SQL Server (database design, performance tuning, T-SQL)
· Experience developing, maintaining, or supporting web applications
· Knowledge of Windows Server administration and troubleshooting, with working knowledge of Linux systems and command-line operations
· Experience with financial systems, regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., SOX, PCI-DSS), and data security best practices
· Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to dissect complex technical problems and propose data-driven solutions
· Effective collaboration skills and experience working closely with developers, DBAs, and business stakeholders
· Ability to document complex technical concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences
· Demonstratable adaptability and comfort working in environments that mix modern and legacy technologies
· Evidence of continuous learning and staying current with financial technology trends and platform updates
· Ability to work standard business hours with on-call emergency support
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Experience supporting or analyzing AS400/IBM i systems
· Familiarity with financial industry standards and banking operations
· Knowledge of ETL processes and data integration
· Certifications such as Microsoft Certified Associate (MCA), ITIL, or financial industry certifications
· Experience with cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS) for hybrid environments
· Background in Agile/Scrum methodologies
· Understanding of cybersecurity principles and threat modeling
