About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Financial Reporting Associate to join our Financial Reporting team supporting Hedge Funds and Private Equity Funds.

The role will involve assisting with the preparation of financial statements, financial statement disclosures, supporting schedules, and audit deliverables. The candidate will work closely with internal operational teams while developing a strong understanding of fund accounting and financial reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation of financial statements and related footnotes in accordance with applicable accounting and regulatory requirements (US GAAP).
  • Preparation of financial statement disclosures, supporting schedules and Schedule of Investments.
  • Review financial statements for numerical accuracy, consistency, completeness, and quality of disclosures.
  • Perform year-over-year financial statement comparisons and identify changes, missing disclosures, and open items.
  • Liaise with operational teams and internal stakeholders to coordinate deliverables, communicate status, and ensure timely completion of reporting activities.
  • Follow established checklists, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and internal controls.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives and suggest ideas to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Maintain proper organization of working files, supporting documents, and final financial statements.
  • Manage assigned deliverables effectively while working within tight reporting and audit deadlines.
  • Collaborate with team members and contribute to a positive and knowledge-sharing team environment.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
  • 0–2 years of experience in accounting, audit, and financial reporting. Freshers with strong accounting fundamentals may also be considered.
  • Basic understanding of financial statements and accounting principles.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical skills and ability to problem-solve.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and build strong working relationships.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
