What You Will Do:
As a Senior Consultant in Guidehouse’s Commercial Financial Services practice, you will play a key role in delivering client engagements by analyzing problems, developing solutions, and supporting implementation efforts. You will work as part of a client-facing team, contributing to one or more workstreams and collaborating closely with project leadership to ensure successful outcomes.
Support delivery of client engagements by executing discrete workstreams and producing high-quality, timely analyses and deliverables
Conduct research, data analysis, and process assessments (e.g., process mapping, control evaluation) to inform client recommendations
Develop clear, well-structured reports, presentations, and client-ready materials
Participate in client meetings, including working sessions and status updates, contributing insights and progress updates
Collaborate with team and engagement leadership to track deliverables, timelines, and risks
Support implementation of recommended solutions and operational improvements
Build foundational client relationships through consistent, professional engagement
What You Will Need:
Bachelor’s degree
3–5 years of experience in the banking industry or commercial financial services consulting
Experience supporting projects in one or more of the following areas:
Operational risk and/or large bank compliance
Banking regulations and compliance
Risk and controls assessments, including process mapping
Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, client-focused environment
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Experience developing client-ready deliverables
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (incl Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to manage workstreams and meet deadlines
Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively within and across teams
Ability to work onsite at client locations in New York City plus travel as needed
What Would Be Nice To Have:
Prior experience in management consulting
Exposure to Global Systemically Important Banks (GSIBs)
Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, Lean Six Sigma, PMP)
Advanced degree (MBA, MA/MS in a related field)
The annual salary range for this position is $107,000.00-$178,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
