We are seeking an experienced and organised Financial Services Coordinator to lead the Financial Services Team and support financial operations that enable change. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Transactional Services, you will deliver a range of financial services and oversee UQ’s payable transaction systems, interfaces and processes with a high level of autonomy.
You will lead the delivery of end-to-end accounts payable and transactional finance services across the EAIT, HASS and BEL portfolios, while building strong stakeholder relationships to ensure high-quality, timely and accurate service delivery.
Key responsibilities will include:
Leading and coordinating the delivery of high-quality financial transaction services, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with business needs.
Overseeing accounts payable processes including invoice processing, exception management, and domestic and international payments.
Driving the development, standardisation, and continuous improvement of processes, systems, and service delivery frameworks.
Building trusted partnerships with stakeholders while ensuring strong governance, compliance, and financial integrity across all transactions.
You are a proactive and detail-oriented finance professional with a passion for service excellence and continuous improvement. You bring strong leadership capability and thrive in environments where collaboration and accountability drive success.
Our ideal candidate:
Degree qualifications in accounting, business, commerce or a related field, with extensive experience in financial transactions processing or shared services, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience.
Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with Accounts Payable ERP systems such as UniFi or Oracle, managing end-to-end AP processes.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply sound judgement within established policy frameworks.
Demonstrated experience leading and supervising teams, including workload allocation, performance management, coaching, and ensuring service level agreements are met.
Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships, positioning yourself as a trusted advisor and service partner to stakeholders.
Experience working within complex organisational or policy environments, delivering professional advisory and service outcomes.
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining data integrity and high standards of financial governance.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey financial concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
