Financial Reporting department is responsible for preparation of daily, monthly, quarterly, half year end and year-end financial statements for investment funds.
At this level you will be responsible for preparation and initial review of components of interim and annual financial statements for investment funds operating in Germany. In addition to involvement in periodic reporting cycles, you will support selected daily activities related to the IFRS clients, such as preparation of reporting inputs, data checks, reconciliation support and handling of standard queries. You will work closely with senior team members to ensure accuracy and timeliness of deliverables within a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.
Scope of Responsibilities – principal tasks
Prepare and/or review selected sections of audited annual and unaudited interim financial statements for IFRS institutional funds, in line with applicable reporting standards
Support month-end and quarterly reporting cycles, including activities related to IFRS processes
Perform data checks and assist with reconciliations to ensure completeness and accuracy of reporting inputs
Support preparation of client-specific reports
Assist with daily operational activities for IFRS clients (e.g. fund events, intercompany transactions, and standard client or auditor queries)
Support communication with clients by assisting in preparation of deliverables and helping to address standard queries under the guidance of senior team members.
Support implementation of IFRS-related changes, including recording and testing scenarios in systems, under guidance of senior team members
Deliver assigned tasks in line with agreed timelines and quality standards
Escalate issues and discrepancies identified during the reporting process
Assist during financial statement audits by providing documentation and supporting explanations
Liaise with internal teams to resolve data, system or process-related issues
Stay up to date with IFRS requirements
Comply with accounting policies/procedures and internal control documentation
Provide assistance and support during financial statements audits and internal control reviews
Contribute to process improvements and team initiatives where applicable
Take on ad hoc project work as required from your managers
Actively participate in internal and external projects
Qualifications
A person with relevant financial education in the field of economics, finance, accounting or similar (preferred). More than 1 year experience in financial services or a similar environment
Industry Knowledge
General knowledge of financial services industry. Knowledge of Fund Accounting and Financial Reporting is considered an advantage.
Core Competencies
Thorough understanding of accounting principles
High affinity to IT and numbers, proficiency in using MS Office tools
Very good knowledge of spoken and written English, knowledge of German would be beneficial
Knowledge of Financial Reporting and/or Fund Accounting processes would be advantageous
Knowledge of accounting frameworks including IFRS and FRS would be advantageous
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to take ownership

Minimum Salary:
zł68,004 Annual
The minimum salary quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate ultimately works outside of this primary location, the applicable minimum salary may differ.
Salary will be determined based on factors such as the position, type of work performed, individual skills, job description, working hours, diligence, initiative, self-management, length of employment, availability, and the quantity and quality of work delivered, as well as other objective and non-discriminatory criteria relevant to State Street employees.
In addition to salary, employees are eligible to be considered for discretionary annual performance-based awards.
