This role is offered under a fixed-term, project-based contract, with a guaranteed minimum duration of six months

Area:

In the HUB of Montevideo, we have the Financial Reporting area, which is responsible for ensuring that the financial statements are completed correctly, complying with local and international regulations. Monthly, quarterly, and annual reports are prepared, collaborating with Local Finance, Controlling, and the parent company. At the end of the month, all information is gathered from the SAP System modules, and then we report our Financial and Operational versions in our official system.

Main Objective of the Position:

To execute daily and monthly Financial Reporting activities, ensuring compliance with internal policies and legal requirements, while maintaining the accuracy and integrity of accounting information reported to U.S. based Headquarters.

Main Tasks:

  • Carry out daily and monthly activities related to Financial Reporting processes, ensuring compliance with internal policies and legal requirements.
  • Ensure the quality of accounting information and proper reporting to Head Office for companies in North America.
  • Perform monthly account reconciliations and analyze variations in financial statements.
  • Manage tasks related to Asset & Lease Accounting.
  • Prepare explanatory notes for quarterly and annual financial statements.
  • Understand the end-to-end (E2E) process and its impact on Financial Reporting and other work areas.
  • Effectively drive process improvement in the area and knowledge transfer within the team.
  • Participate in local, regional, and global projects, both in development and implementation.
  • Collaborate in audits, internal controls, implementation of changes, and other key projects for the organization.

Requirements:

  • Education: Graduates in Public Accounting (preferable) or Business Administration.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in accounting or related areas. Experience in IFRS is valued.
  • Languages: fluent Spanish and English.
  • Systems: Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office. Advanced Excel. Experience with Macros, databases, Power BI, and SAP knowledge will be valued.
  • Interest in developing programming skills, Visual Basic, and implementing automations for the area will be valued.
  • We are looking for a proactive, analytical person with good communication skills.
