Financial Reporting Manager I
The Financial Reporting Manager I is responsible for the accurate and timely preparation of financial information for both company management and external users, and plays a key role in the general accounting, technical accounting, and financial reporting functions supporting Tecomet's US operating sites and corporate entities. This position leads and manages a team of accounting professionals, and actively participates in the accounting cycle to ensure that accounting processes are timely, accurate, efficient, and consistent, while also leading technical accounting research and audit compliance across US operations.
The Accounting Manager should have strong general and technical accounting skills, sound analytical judgment, and the ability to multi-task and perform the job function under minimal supervision, along with excellent communication and people-leadership skills. The role requires a high level of attention to detail with a focus on accuracy, balanced with the ability to step back and perform analytical review to identify errors, omissions, and unusual activity. This position is also responsible for leading, coaching, and developing a team of accounting professionals to build a high-performing, collaborative function.
This position reports to the Director, Financial Reporting and is part of the Global Finance team at Tecomet. We are looking for a proactive professional who will ask questions, research unusual activity independently as appropriate, and communicate effectively with Finance leadership. The role requires the above to be accomplished within Tecomet's principles of continuous improvement, customer-driven innovation, and a win-first culture, while meeting Company financial and other performance metrics.

This is a hybrid role. The candidate must be able to commute to Tecomet's Mason, MI office on a weekly basis.
