Job Purpose

We are seeking a Financial Reporting Manager to lead global financial reporting, ensure compliance with US GAAP/IFRS, and deliver accurate, timely financial insights to leadership. This role plays a critical part in strengthening reporting processes, supporting business decisions, and leading key transformation initiatives, including ERP (SAP S/4HANA), consolidation systems (OneStream), and IFRS adoption. This role plays a key part in modernizing financial reporting and supporting global transformation initiatives.

Travel Requirements

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Compliance

  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual Global financial reporting processes
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with US GAAP and support IFRS readiness and adoption
  • Prepare and review consolidated financial statements across multiple entities
  • Support audit processes and maintain strong internal controls (SOX compliance)

Consolidation & Technical Accounting

  • Manage multi-entity consolidations, including foreign currency translation
  • Provide guidance on technical accounting matters (e.g., revenue recognition, leases)
  • Partner with worldwide Komatsu accounting teams to ensure consistent application and creation of Global Accounting policies

Business Insights & Analysis

  • Deliver variance analysis and performance insights to Senior Leadership
  • Support Company wide executive reporting and presentation of financial results
  • Collaborate with FP&A to ensure alignment between reporting and planning

Systems & Transformation

  • Support and help lead finance transformation initiatives, including:
    • SAP S/4HANA implementation
    • OneStream (or equivalent) consolidation system deployment
    • IFRS adoption and reporting alignment
  • Drive improvements in reporting automation, data quality, and system integration

Process Improvement & Controls

  • Enhance global reporting processes to improve efficiency and scalability
  • Strengthen internal controls and ensure compliance with SOX requirements
  • Identify opportunities to reduce manual processes and improve data integrity

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Lead and develop team members, driving performance and accountability
  • Partner cross-functionally with Accounting, FP&A, and global finance teams
  • Influence stakeholders across a matrix organization

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 10+ years of accounting/financial reporting experience
  • Strong experience with consolidations and multi-entity reporting
  • Solid knowledge of US GAAP and exposure to IFRS
  • Experience managing or mentoring team members
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and advanced Excel skills
  • CPA or equivalent certification

Desired Skills

  • Experience with financial consolidation tools (e.g., OneStream)
  • Experience supporting ERP implementations (SAP S/4HANA)
  • Background in global or multi-entity environments
  • Familiarity with Power BI or other reporting tools
