  • Winnipeg, Manitoba: Highly automated facility dedicated to edibles and beverage manufacturing.
  • Aylmer, Ontario: Specializes in infused pre-roll production and automated vape filling.
  • London, Ontario: Strategic hub for packaging and distribution across all product lines.

Purpose

Provide support to the Financial Reporting team during the year-end annual audit and reporting cycle, and support recurring reporting activities, with a focus on reporting preparation, reconciliations and process documentation activities. You will work on the annual consolidated financial statements, MD&A and related Canadian and U.S. securities filings of a dual-listed public company.

Scope of work

  • Assist with preparing supporting schedules and working papers for consolidation and note disclosures
  • Assist with recurring reporting schedules and data pulls from the ERP systems
  • Support Workiva document updates, roll-forwards, tie out figures across financial statements, MD&A, press release and other reporting activities
  • Support external auditor requests and PBC tracking
  • Support documentation of reporting processes, controls and quarter/year-end procedures
  • Assist with ad hoc financial reporting and accounting analysis as required

What you will gain

  • Hands-on experience with a public company's annual reporting cycle, from close through filing
  • Exposure to IFRS reporting, Workiva and working with external auditors
  • Practical experience relevant to the CPA designation, with coaching from experienced reporting professionals

Candidate profile

  • Recent graduate in Accounting, Finance or a related field
  • Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and financial statements
  • Strong Excel skills. Exposure to ERP systems is an asset
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under reporting deadlines
  • Good communication, organization and problem-solving skills
  • Previous accounting, audit, finance or financial reporting internship/co-op experience preferred

Confidentiality

The role may involve access to confidential and material non-public financial information. The successful candidate will be required to sign a confidentiality agreement and comply with the Company’s confidentiality, insider-trading and related policies.

Term: 3 months, with possible extension
