The opportunity

As a senior leader within the Financial Control team, you will oversee critical reporting processes while partnering with stakeholders across the business to deliver technical accounting expertise and strong governance outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the AUSPAC monthly close process, including consolidation and financial reporting deliverables

  • Overseeing statutory reporting and supporting Board-level insights on key accounting matters

  • Providing technical accounting advice on complex transactions and business initiatives

  • Driving the implementation of Group accounting policies across the division

  • Leading and developing a high-performing financial control team

  • Strengthening risk and compliance frameworks through effective controls and processes

What We’re Looking For

You are a technically strong and commercially minded accounting leader who enjoys working in a collaborative environment. You bring a passion for people leadership and the ability to influence stakeholders while navigating complex accounting challenges.

Key requirements:

  • CA/CPA qualification (or equivalent) with significant post-qualification experience

  • Strong technical accounting expertise within the insurance sector

  • Proven experience in financial reporting and consolidations

  • Deep knowledge of AASB 17 and AASB 16

  • Demonstrated leadership capability and stakeholder engagement skills

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts
