Due to continuous growth and expansion, Sunlight Group offers a great opportunity for career development and is seeking to attract a Financial & Reporting Analyst to join our Finance team at Sunlight’s Athens premises. As a Financial & Reporting Analyst, you will support the Group’s financial planning and analysis activities, contributing to accurate reporting, forecasting, and financial modeling, while providing valuable insights to support strategic and operational decision-making.

Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:

• Participate actively in month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with applicable accounting standards.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports (actual vs. budget) at both company and departmental level, providing clear explanations of variances.
• Perform variance analysis and deliver insights on revenue, costs, margins, and key financial KPIs.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery of outputs.
• Monitor budget performance and identify areas requiring attention or corrective action.
• Contribute to the preparation of periodic financial reports in accordance with IFRS (monthly and annual reporting).
• Assist in cost control initiatives, scenario analysis, and revenue optimization efforts.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with various departments to analyze deviations from budget and support business decision-making.
• Prepare ad-hoc financial and management reports based on business needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration; a postgraduate degree will be considered an asset.
• 2–4 years of experience in a Finance Analyst role, ideally within a multinational environment.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles (IFRS) and financial reporting processes and systems.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and generate actionable insights.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with database management.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and financial planning/reporting tools (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), BI tools) will be considered a plus.
• Ability to translate data into clear, concise, and impactful reports.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a proactive, self-driven mindset.
