We are seeking an experienced Management Accountant (FP&A) to join our finance team on a three‑month fixed‑term contract with an immediate start This is a high‑impact opportunity to work closely with the CFO and contribute to key strategic financial planning initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the CFO to prepare the FY2026/2027 budget and three‑year financial plan
  • Design, build and maintain a robust Excel‑based 3‑way financial model (P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow)
  • Provide financial analysis, forecasting and insights to support strategic decision‑making
  • Review assumptions, validate financial data and ensure model integrity
  • Support FP&A best practices and continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Management Accounting and/or FP&A roles
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and building complex Excel budget models, including full 3‑way models
  • Strong commercial acumen and analytical capability
  • Advanced Excel skills (essential)
  • Ability to work autonomously and meet tight deadlines
  • Available to commence immediately

The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) has been providing outstanding care for Victoria's children and their families for over 147 years.

We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.

With a passionate, highly skilled and committed staff campus wide of over 5,000, we provide a full range of clinical services, tertiary care and health promotion and prevention programs for children and young people.

We are the designated state-wide major trauma centre for paediatrics in Victoria and a Nationally Funded Centre for cardiac and liver transplantation.
