This position is designated as a hybrid role based out of our headquarters near Portland, Oregon. The current expectation is for employees to work onsite four days per week, subject to change based on business needs. This in-office requirement may be adjusted at the discretion of the company. ABOUT THE POSITION Columbia Sportswear Finance & Accounting teams oversee the financial health and forward strategy for a portfolio of four global brands. These teams exercise expertise across Compliance, Credit, Financial Planning and Reporting, Tax, Treasury, Procurement and Strategy. Advancing traditional Finance & Accounting functions, the organization is also driving exciting innovation in the application of advanced analytics and automated intelligence. Columbia Sportswear’s Financial Planning Analyst - Digital Technology supports the Company’s evolving Digital Technology business. Leveraging financial planning and analytical skills, this position plays a significant role impacting critical strategic and operational decisions, driving process improvements and creating financial transparency. HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE

  • Provide timely and insightful financial analysis to assist in evaluating monthly, quarterly, and annual performance against financial plans. Complete ongoing analysis to identify technology cost drivers and trends (internal and external)
  • Prepare and analyze strategic plans, annual operating plans, and forecast updates for the Digital Technology business
  • Contribute to business cases for key investment projects through development of financial models and justifications to inform go/no go decisions, as well as support the ongoing performance management and reporting of projects
  • Collaborate closely with cost center managers and corporate finance team members, to facilitate the understanding of key drivers of financial performance, driving transparency and influencing sound decision making
  • Own the Capital Acquisition process and tracking vs. budget for Digital Technology

YOU ARE

  • Proactive with strong knowledge of financial analysis, budgeting, and strategic planning concepts
  • Able to work independently and cooperatively in a team environment and able to exercise a high degree of professionalism and good judgment
  • Organized, able to prioritize projects, and display superior attention to detail
  • Motivated to continuously improve processes and drive efficiencies
  • Familiar and proficient using MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Access), data visualization (Power BI, etc)

YOU HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Math, Engineering or a business-related field (MBA and/or CPA is preferred)
  • 1-3 years of professional experience in accounting, financial analysis or another related field
  • Retail and/or ecommerce experience is a plus
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience with business systems planning such as TM1, SAP, Hyperion Essbase, Microsoft 365, PowerBI and/or Cognos
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a role presenting financial analysis and recommendations to a business unit leader
