The Financial Operations Manager is responsible to oversee endtoend ProcuretoPay (P2P) and RecordtoReport (RTR) functions that support onshore finance teams. This includes managing highvolume activities such as purchase order creation and updates, goods receipting, invoice approval workflows, vendor statement reconciliations, and management reporting. The role also leads key RTR responsibilities, including accounting and reporting tasks, journal preparation or review, balance sheet reconciliations, and monthend close activities to ensure accurate and timely financial outcomes. In addition, the Financial Operations Manager works closely with onshore and offshore stakeholders such as Finance, Commercial teams, business units, procurement, and external vendors, while leading and mentoring a team of approximately 8 members, supported by a 2IC who is crosstrained in core financial operations.

Make an Impact by:

  • Oversee PO and nonPO invoice processing to ensure service levels are met, including resolving SAP and einvoicing technical issues, managing supplier and stakeholder inquiries, and completing vendor statement reconciliations.
  • Collaborate with vendors, Accounts Payable teams, and internal stakeholders to resolve issues, while guiding users on Ivalua or other new systems.
  • Prepare and submit monthly balance sheet reconciliations, proactively clearing aged items for accurate reporting.
  • Support internal and external audit requirements and assist the Finance Operations Manager with audit deliverables.
  • Drive process improvements by redesigning workflows, supporting system upgrades, and participating in project activities such as requirements gathering, data migration, and UAT.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and key financial controls.
  • Work with business users and Finance teams to deliver timely monthend close activities, including preparing accurate journal entries for posting into the ERP system.
  • Perform additional duties as required to support evolving business needs.
  • Lead and mentor the team to ensure operational KPIs are consistently achieved.

Skills for Success

  • Degree in Business, Commerce, or a related field, or a professional Accounting qualification.
  • At least 7 years of experience in Accounts Payable and/or P2P with 5 years in a team lead or managerial role, with proven ability to document processes and drive system and workflow improvements.
  • Excellent technical accounting knowledge and deep expertise in Procurement and P2P processes within a corporate environment.
  • Experienced in leading and mentoring teams across P2P and R2R functions, ensuring high performance, efficient resource utilization, and consistent delivery of quality outcomes.
  • Possesses an excellent analytical skills, solid accounting understanding, hands-on experience with SAP S4HANA, and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools including Excel (Pivot Tables), Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to work effectively across diverse cultures, while managing time well and maintaining high accuracy in handling large transaction volumes.
  • Promotes a culture of customer focus, continuous improvement, innovation, accountability, and knowledge sharing, with a strong sense of ownership and resilience.

Good to Have

  • Professional Accounting Certification (CPA/CA) with experience in process improvement and familiarity with einvoicing platforms such as Ivalua.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Visio and exposure to Data Analytics tools.
  • Working knowledge of Power BI for reporting and insights.
