Position Type: Full-Time, Remote
Working Hours: U.S. Client Business Hours

About the Role

At Pavago, one of our clients — a YC-backed (W25) technology company — is hiring a Financial Modeling Specialist to build, review, and improve sophisticated financial and business models used within structured AI training workflows.

This is a highly analytical, execution-focused role for finance professionals with strong backgrounds in financial modeling, FP&A, investment banking, private equity, strategic finance, corporate finance, or financial consulting

You’ll build complete financial and operating models, develop forecasting and KPI frameworks, review models for accuracy and structural integrity, and help establish scalable modeling standards.

This role is ideal for someone who can take broad financial requirements, structure them independently, and produce clean, accurate, scalable, and well-documented financial models

You should understand:

  • U.S. GAAP
  • Revenue recognition
  • Accrual vs. cash accounting
  • Working capital

Ensure modeling outputs remain financially coherent and appropriately reflect accounting relationships.

Help establish scalable financial modeling infrastructure.

You’ll:

  • Improve existing modeling templates.
  • Standardize model structures.
  • Develop repeatable frameworks.
  • Document assumptions and methodologies.
  • Maintain clear modeling conventions.
  • Improve financial modeling best practices.
  • Create documentation that allows other analysts to understand and reproduce modeling logic.

AI Training & Structured Finance Workflows

Your financial expertise will contribute to structured workflows used to support advanced AI systems.

You’ll apply finance judgment to:

  • Structured analytical problems.
  • Model evaluation and quality control.
