This Position reports to:

Head of Financial Markets Risk Management

Reporting to the Head of Financial Markets Risk Management in Corporate treasury team of ABB Robotics, your responsibilities will include analyzing exposures, implementing risk management processes and execute transactions in alignment with Financial Markets Risk Management Framework. You will contribute to end-to-end processes that identify and mitigate risks arising from fluctuations in foreign exchange rates, interest rates, and commodity prices. Your help to guide our business in developing effective risk mitigation strategies, ensuring the stability and growth of our business. The role also includes execution of transactions for liquidity-related market activities and corporate cash investments.

The work model for the role is: hybrid; #LI-hybrid.

The preferred locations are Poland, Czech Republic (other European locations possible)

Your responsibilities include:

  • Financial Market Risk Strategy & Oversight build a global perspective on financial market risks and their impact on ABB Robotics

  • Market Execution & Investments collect exposures from business, carry out the execution of financial markets transactions, including FX, interest rate, and commodity derivatives

  • Exposure Analysis & Reporting Participate in analyzing market price movements and their effects on derivative hedge contracts, supporting business units in understanding the financial implications.

  • Business Advisory & Stakeholder Engagement support business teams in understanding of market exposures, hedging activities, and associated risks; collaborate closely with banking partners and internal stakeholders.

  • Treasury Systems & Trading platform: ensure the correctness of data in Treasury Management System related to financial markets data and transactions.

  • Controls & Compliance ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and other internal / external policies; perform and document controls relevant for Financial Market Risk Management activities; support internal and external audit.


Qualifications for the role:

  • Bachelor’s in Finance, Economics, or a related field

  • 5-9 years’ experience in treasury, financial markets, or banking.

  • Solid knowledge about derivatives and financial instruments (foreign exchange, interest rates, and commodity derivatives) with understanding of associated risks

  • Knowledge about Treasury Management System (e.g., Kyriba) and Trade / Risk System (e.g., FXALL, Refinitiv Workspace, etc.)

  • Business acumen, understand how market risks and hedging strategies impact business performance and accounting

  • Strong analytical skills, proficient analytical abilities and a structured approach to problem-solving

  • Proficient in oral and written English

  • Recognized team player with excellent collaboration, business partnering, and communication skills
