Financial Marketing Funding & Support Specialist I

Department: Finance and Bus Resources (FIN)

Employment Type: Full Time

Location: San Antonio

The Financial Marketing Funding & Support Specialist is responsible for the successful coordination of Financial Marketing related activities surrounding and supporting Financial Marketing enhancing the level of new sales and rental conversions. Individual is responsible for activities that involve reducing credit-to-cash cycle, accurate calculations of equipment RPO payoffs, compiling funding information, account reconciliation and departmental reporting.

The incumbent in this position is expected to model the following practices daily: 1) Demonstrate alignment with the company's mission and core business values; 2) Collaborate with key internal/external resources; 3) Participate in ongoing self-development.

Essential Functions

  • Manages and coordinates finance opportunities to enhance the level of new sales and rental conversions
  • Reconciliation of Insurance commissions
  • Reviews all sales contracts for accuracy and coordination of financial lending opportunities and provides recommendation for enhancements/improvements as needed
  • Tracks and coordinates deal packages from submittal to completion, including funding from lender
  • Provides payoffs for conversion contracts, provides quotes on finance options and manages communication between customers, sales, and lenders
  • Provides subject matter expertise and oversees funding process including collaborating with Financial Services and Invoicing team
  • Acts as subject matter expert and manages the Pending Funding report to ensure timely funding of contracts including coordination with sales representatives, Financial Marketing representatives, and Caterpillar Financial representatives to lower credit-to-cash cycle
  • Compiles and analyzes required monthly department reporting for Financial Marketing Support & Funding Manger
  • Manages payment collections and open account items on customer accounts with sales, AR, and Lenders
  • Works safely always and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards
  • Performs other duties as assigned to help the successful achievement of all Financial Marketing Department goals

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of financial, credit, and accounting principles
  • Exceptional financial acumen, attention to detail, and accuracy
  • Knowledge of safe work policies, procedures, and practices
  • Intermediate to advanced skills with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint products
  • Attention to detail and being thorough in completing work task
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment with frequent interruptions
  • Excellent organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills while being deadline oriented
  • Ability to be self-motivated and well organized
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision while being results oriented
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals and groups

Requirements

Education & Experience:
  • Up to three or more years of job-related experience required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field preferred or four additional years of relevant work experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree
  • Property and Casualty insurance license preferred

  • None
Travel:
  • Up to 10% can be expected
Physical Requirements:
  • This position involves extended periods of time in a stationary position; additionally, occasional movement inside the office to access office machinery, file cabinets, etc.
  • This position involves occasional standing, walking, kneeling, crouching, stooping, balancing, and reaching
  • This role frequently communicates with others, must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
  • This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines
  • Occasionally moves materials or equipment weighing up to 5 lbs.
Work Environment:
  • This job is generally performed in a professional office; in environmentally controlled conditions, operating computer, manual dexterity, talking, hearing, and repetitive motion
  • Frequently works at fast pace with unscheduled interruptions
