Job Description

The Cantor Fitzgerald FMA Program is an exclusive development program, providing a well-rounded understanding of risk management and business operations. Associates will rotate through four critical risk areas, working closely with industry experts and business leaders. This program offers a rare chance to enhance risk frameworks, collaborate across departments, and obtain essential financial licenses, setting the stage for a successful career in risk management.
  • Assess counterparty creditworthiness, analyze industries and products, and recommend credit limits.
  • Monitor and evaluate market risk exposures, conduct stress tests, and prepare reports for senior leadership.
  • Identify and analyze operational risks, support incident analysis, and assist in process improvement initiatives.
  • Evaluate prime brokerage client exposures, monitor portfolios, and issue margin calls when needed.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of credit assessment methodologies and reporting frameworks.
  • Review daily risk model results and market risk limits, ensuring compliance.
  • Collaborate with Trading and Sales teams to understand front-to-back risk dynamics.
  • Obtain Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 7, and Series 63 licenses during the program.
  • Work alongside senior risk professionals, gaining valuable industry insights and mentorship.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and communication skills are essential.
  • A deep interest in financial markets and risk management is a must.
  • Prior financial industry experience or internships are highly preferred.
  • Intellectual curiosity and problem-solving abilities are key attributes.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and contribute to strategic initiatives.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple rotations.
  • A willingness to learn and adapt to different risk management areas.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting tools is beneficial.
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as finance, economics, or business.
  • A passion for continuous learning and staying updated with industry trends.
