A fast-growing bookkeeping firm specializing in e-commerce businesses is seeking a Financial Intake Director to lead the intake of new client accounts.

From the moment a client signs on, you'll take ownership of the onboarding process, learning their business, understanding their financial operations, implementing them into systems, and ensuring a seamless transition to the team of bookkeepers.

Success in this role requires strong financial acumen, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple client intakes while delivering an outstanding client experience.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end onboarding process for new clients from signed agreement through successful handoff.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during onboarding, ensuring a smooth and professional experience.
• Develop a thorough understanding of each client's business model, financial operations, and bookkeeping needs.
• Gather financial records, account access, historical accounting data, and other required onboarding information.
• Set up new clients within the company's proprietary software and internal systems.
• Train assigned bookkeepers on each client's business, financial workflows, systems, and expectations.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure a seamless transition into ongoing bookkeeping services.
• Manage multiple onboarding projects while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
• Identify opportunities to improve onboarding processes and enhance the overall client experience.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in finance, accounting, bookkeeping, or financial operations.
• Strong understanding of financial statements, bookkeeping principles, and business operations.
• Excellent communication and relationship management skills with the ability to build trust with clients.
• Highly organized with outstanding project management and multitasking abilities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with QuickBooks Online.
• Experience working with e-commerce businesses.
