Job Description

The Banker is a senior level position responsible for assisting clients in the financial sector through all aspects of the credit rating process.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance and analysis on all aspects of FIG rating agency analysis.
  • Interact with the major rating agencies in support of clients going through the rating process from both an initial rating as well as ongoing defense of their ratings.
  • Provide advice on capital structure optimization and debt capacity.
  • Guide clients through the ratings process with a focus on the sector specific methodologies as well as the regulatory impacts on the institutions’ capital structure.
  • Build client relationships by providing sophisticated financial solutions tailored to the clients’ needs and acting as a content provider on market trends
  • Serve as the expert on regulatory, financial and complex strategic issues relating to corporate finance transactions
  • Partner with coverage bankers, M&A and capital markets in support of FIG related transactions.

Recommended Qualifications:

  • Ideally 15+ years of relevant experience
  • Extensive FIG rating experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or closely related areas of Business Administration preferred
  • Master's degree in Business Administration preferred
  • Experience as a senior FIG rating advisor.
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
  • Demonstrated ability to remain unbiased in a diverse working environment
  • Must have all required regulatory licenses

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
  • Master’s degree preferred

Candidates applying for this role must be aware that it is a Certified Role, subject to the Certification Regime. The Certification Regime is one element of the Individual Accountability Regime which has come into effect on 7 March 2016.
