Data Networks, Inc (DNC), a subsidiary of ASRC Federal Holding Company, is currently recruiting for a Financial Grants Management Analyst to support a federal government client located in Silver Spring, MD. The successful candidate will provide grants financial management support for NESDIS OCFO. The candidate will be required to assist in managing budgets, support the grant cycle, and act as a liaison with stakeholders. The candidate will be responsible for working with various branches to ensure that the new and existing financial processes are understood and implemented correctly. Integral to the role is the ability to analyze data to understand trends, forecast potential budget issues, and to plan and take corrective actions. The candidate will provide analyses, assessments, and recommendations relating to financial management activities, among other duties as assigned.

This is a on-site/hybrid position.

The duties for this role include, but are not limited to:

• Perform Program Officer functions for NESDIS financial assistance awards, including pre- and post-award activity, progress reports, and correspondence.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned award portfolios.
• Track outstanding grant issues and questions, provide guidance to NESDIS programs & grantees, and give status updates to the management and other stakeholders.
• Maintain and track financial and programmatic data for all NESDIS financial assistance awards, particularly with grant obligations and plans vs. actuals, assist with responding to data calls.
• Support the NESDIS community of practice, assist with developing outreach materials and disseminate any relevant guidance and updates.
• Participate in grant-related audits, management control reviews, workgroups and meetings
• Become adept at pulling reports from the NOAA financial systems, including the Enterprise Business Solution (EBS) and the Financial Management Data System (FMDS)

Essential Skills:
• Federal grants management experience. Experience with eRA is a plus.
• Customer service skills, effective verbal and written communication skills
• Adaptability and capacity to thrive in a changing and fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail
• Technical skills: Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides), Google Drive, Gmail, Google Meet; Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to transform data and findings into concise, user-friendly spreadsheets and into PowerPoint presentations.
• Excellent oral presentation skills with the ability to brief findings and materials to management.
• Ability to communicate effectively in group meetings, knowing when to speak up versus deferring to management
• Work proactively to anticipate management’s questions and meet their needs before being asked
• Strong interpersonal skills, including customer service skills, to properly manage customer expectations and respond to customer requests
• Knowing when to ask for help to be able to meet assigned deadlines

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree plus 8-10 years of experience with grants supporting a government agency or equivalent
• U.S. citizenship with ability to pass a government agency background check
