Your role

As a Senior FCC Expert, you will join the FCC Wholesale Banking Belgium team. The team supports the Wholesale Banking business, comprising the Financial Institutions and Corporates business lines. We focus on ensuring compliance with AML-CTF and Sanctions regulatory and policy requirements. We strive to be a trusted advisor to the business, enabling our colleagues to be successful while maintaining the highest integrity standards.

In this role you will:

• Maintain in-depth expertise and in depth subject knowledge and understanding of good practice and procedures in the FCC domain in Wholesale Banking.
• Take ownership of complex AML, CTF and Sanctions-related topics and represent the team towards key stakeholders, including senior management in 1st and 2nd line, local and group.
• Support the team’s work across the various customer lifecycle processes. These comprise of most FEC processes end-to-end (e.g. CDD onboardings and reviews, offboarding, CAMS, screening)
• Participate in and lead calls with compliance professionals of FI clients, in order to assess the FCC framework of our PSP and respondent bank clients.
• Be part of a global FCC community, engaging with stakeholders locally and globally. You will have the opportunity to work in an international environment and cooperate with colleagues in various jurisdictions.

How to succeed

We are looking for a professional who combines strong FCC expertise with a proactive and collaborative mindset.

You will bring:

• A passion for the Financial Crime Compliance domain and a commitment to protecting the integrity of the financial system.
• A Master's degree in Law, Economics, or an equivalent qualification through experience.
• At least 6 years of experience in Compliance, Audit, Financial Control or a similar control function within Wholesale Banking, Correspondent Banking or a comparable environment.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders.
• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
• Strong analytical skills and an interest in data analysis.
• Curiosity, ownership and a willingness to continuously learn and embrace new challenges in an international environment.
