Context

A financial controller is a professional who focuses on monitoring and controlling the financial operations and management of an organization. His/her main job is to ensure the accuracy, precision and compliance of financial activities with applicable laws, internal regulations and standards.

  • His/her task is to analyze the production and logistics of the organization and to ensure the monitoring of fixed cost management.
  • In charge of analyzing and improving working capital turnover together with the management of the organization.
  • Responsible for the accuracy of balance sheet accounts.
  • Responsible for tax package and statutory accounts.
  • Responsible for consistency of forecasting and budgeting for the site and assists the management team in identifying corrective actions.
  • In this role, he/she will be a key user to support end users in the implementation and operation of the new ERP solution.

Areas of responsibility

General part:

In addition to the general duties, responsibilities and rights of an employee as set out in the Labor Code, an employee is obliged to:

  • Participate in improvement processes (Lean + Kaizen activities).
  • To be liable to the employer for damage caused by unprofessional or careless handling of materials and resources entrusted to him/her, as well as for damage caused by culpable breaches of duties in the performance of work tasks or in direct connection with them.
  • To inform supervisors of workplace defects and deficiencies in the area of work performed and to cooperate in the rectification of defects.

Resistant part:

  • Implementing business activities and partnerships
  • Ensuring adequate monitoring to evaluate the impact of action plans on financial results.
  • Regularly initiates/attends meetings with various departments in the organization (manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, etc.).
  • Constantly looks for and identifies opportunities to reduce costs and generate cash at the organization level.

Forecasting and Planning:

  • Coordinating the construction of the annual budget and monthly forecast in the organization and detailed analysis.

Reporting:

  • Ensures accurate, timely and transparent reporting of results and KPIs (budget, actuals, outlook) for the organization (financial and operational reports).
  • Controls and manages the monthly closing process and reports.
  • Ensures appropriate accruals are made.
  • Verifies manual entries impacting production and logistics and balance sheet.
  • Justifies the organization’s balance sheet accounts (especially closing stock and fixed assets).
  • Coordinates the product costing process and reviews related tribal data.
  • Internal Control
  • Enforces Group and entity financial practices and translates Nexans' practices to the local level. Supports internal control in all functions.
  • Ensures regular inventories are properly conducted and controls inventory adjustments.
  • Enterprise Applications - Key User
  • Understands all information processes in the organization and trains new users.
  • Analyzes and defines all requirements and needs from the enterprise, processes and individual users.
  • Translates ERP updates into user-friendly language and trains users in the application.
  • Utilizes IT systems and programs in their work.
  • Manages and organizes the accounting department
  • Managing and motivating employees in their department, organizing work and assigning tasks.
  • Personnel management of the assigned department - attendance, evaluation, bonuses, motivation, cooperation, training, etc.
  • Ensures work safety in the assigned department and compliance with PPE, dress code by employees.
  • Arranges and participates in the provision of internal and external training for its employees.

Required skills and qualifications

  • Required education - secondary school with a high school diploma.

Financial competence.

  • Results orientation and practical skills in the financial field.
  • Experience with financial control techniques (Controlling).
  • Good knowledge of warehouse management
  • Strong interest in information systems
  • PC skills
