Job Description

Financial Controller (FP&A) | DR Congo (Relocation)

Talent Tides is hiring a Financial Controller for a multinational group with industrial operations in the Democratic Republic of Congo. You will relocate to DR Congo, oversee financial control and planning for the local entity, and report to the entity CFO.

What you will do

  • Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing process for the DR Congo entity
  • Build and manage the annual budget, rolling forecasts, and long-range financial plans
  • Prepare variance analysis and management reports that explain cost and margin movements
  • Track production costs, inventory valuation, and plant-level profitability
  • Maintain internal controls, approval limits, and audit-ready documentation
  • Manage cash flow forecasting and working capital
  • Coordinate with group finance on consolidation and intercompany reconciliations
  • Work with local auditors, tax advisors, and banks on statutory and tax requirements

What you need

  • 8 to 12 years of finance experience, with at least 3 years in a controller, FP&A, or senior finance role
  • Background in manufacturing or industrial operations (strongly preferred)
  • Solid experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cost accounting
  • CA, CPA, CMA, or ACCA qualification preferred
  • Working knowledge of IFRS and an ERP system (SAP, Oracle, or similar)
  • Willing to relocate to DR Congo and able to join immediately or on short notice
  • French language skills are an advantage
