Manpower Malta is seeking to recruit a Financial Controller to join our client's team.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for overseeing key financial activities, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, maintaining strong financial controls, and supporting the effective management of the finance function. This position requires a technically strong finance professional with a solid accounting background and the ability to operate effectively in a senior and responsible role.

The Financial Controller will also supervise a small finance team and work closely with senior stakeholders, providing reliable financial information and supporting sound financial decision-making. The ideal candidate will be a fully qualified accountant with previous experience gained within a leading audit or professional services environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee financial reporting, management accounts and key accounting activities.
• Ensure appropriate financial controls, accounting standards and procedures are maintained.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis activities.
• Coordinate audit, compliance and other finance-related requirements.
• Supervise and support a small finance team, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of financial activities.

Key Requirements:

• Fully ACCA qualified – mandatory.
• Strong previous experience in financial accounting, reporting and control.
• Previous experience within a Big Four or comparable audit/advisory firm is highly preferred.
• Previous experience supervising or managing finance team members.
• Strong analytical, organisational and stakeholder management skills.

• Type of Contract: Indefinite | Fulltime
• Salary: Depending on experience

• Work Setting: Mainly in Office with possibility of working from home after successful probation
• Working Days: Monday to Friday
• Working Hours: 08:00 - 16:30 unless agreed otherwise & no overtime required
