Hiring: Financial Controller

We are looking for a collaborative and driven Financial Controller who enjoys improving processes, creating efficient solutions, and making a real impact. Join Telia Finance AB, a licensed Credit Market Company and a wholly owned subsidiary of Telia Company, operating across the Nordic region.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is eager to grow and develop together with us. As part of our Nordic Finance team, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality accounting, financial reporting, and financial operations across multiple countries. The role is hybrid and based in Solna, Sweden, you will work in a collaborative and supportive environment where your ideas are valued, your development is encouraged, and your contributions help shape the future of our finance organization.

What you’ll do:

Play a key role in accounting and financial reporting across Nordic entities, ensuring accurate records, compliance, and continuous process improvements.

• Manage day-to-day accounting activities, account reconciliations, and the preparation of accurate financial records
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities, ensuring timely reporting to both internal and external stakeholders
• Oversee tax, statutory, and regulatory accounting matters while ensuring compliance across Nordic legal entities and branches
• Support accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, collaborating with colleagues to ensure efficient financial operations
• Drive process improvements and finance development initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and scalability within the finance function

What will help you thrive in this role:

You are a detail-oriented and collaborative finance professional who enjoys combining operational accounting work with analytical problem-solving and improvement focused.

• Proven experience in accounting, financial closing, and reporting processes
• Strong knowledge of tax, VAT, accounts receivable/payable, and reconciliation routines is an advantage
• Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Agresso / Unit4) and finance process improvement initiatives
• Understanding of financial services, regulated industries, or Nordic business operations
