About the role

As a Financial Controller, you will hold primary accountability for core Finance and Accounting activities in Turkey. This includes overseeing Budgeting and Reporting of revenue and costs, as well as ensuring financial compliance related to expense management, tax, and treasury. You will also manage key operational finance processes such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Expense Reporting, and ongoing Reporting and Budgeting activities.

In this role, you will act as a central driver of essential process improvements and the implementation of company‑wide initiatives. Success relies on strong collaboration with external partners - including Tax, Accounting, Payroll, ERP vendors, and financial institutions - as well as close interaction with internal stakeholders such as Corporate Finance, Supply Chain Management, and Production.

You will be part of the International Markets team within the Commercial organization in 3Shape. The role reports to the Country Manager Turkey.

Key responsibilities

1. Deliver Finance & Accounting Activities

• Lead annual budgeting with senior management and ensure accurate, timely financial reporting

• Maintain accruals, reconcile key accounts, and prepare budget vs. actuals, forecasts, and ad hoc analyses

• Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable (in collaboration with our Shared Service Center in Poland), and employee expense reimbursement

• Manage corporate credit card reconciliations and ensure tax filings and compliance with 3Shape’s legal entity requirements

• Maintain strong internal controls and support internal and external audit activities

2. Act as a Finance Partner to the Business

• Ensure high‑quality analytical and reporting processes for local and global leaders

• Provide clear, data‑driven financial recommendations that support strategic decisions

• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and lead escalations when needed

• Advise senior management on risks, opportunities, and performance progress

3. Other Responsibilities

• Manage non‑commercial contracts and agreements (e.g., leases, benefits, service vendors)

• Oversee inventory controls and reconciliation processes

• Contribute actively to the company‑wide ERP implementation project (2026–2027), gathering regional finance requirements and supporting timely delivery

Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounting experience and strong English communication skills

• ERP proficiency (ideally MS Dynamics AX) with advanced Excel skills

• Strong analytical, budgeting, planning, and process‑improvement abilities

• Effective business‑partnering skills; able to work independently and in a matrixed environment

• Experience in high‑tech, medical device, manufacturing, or global/divisional organizations

• Process‑oriented, customer‑focused, and a proactive problem‑solver

• Detail‑oriented, well‑organized, and comfortable with evolving technologies

• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with ability to collaborate at all organizational levels

• Fluent in spoken and written English
