Job Title: Financial Controller
Responsibilities:
Participate in key decisions as a member of the executive management team
Direct and coordinate financial planning and budget management functions
Recommend benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance
Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget
Supervise monthly closing and submit monthly financial report to group and regulatory authority as request
Coordinate with group finance team and external auditor to complete interim review and annual audit
Prepare financial analysis for product and investment decisions
Monitor and direct the implementation of strategic business plans
Coordinate financial audits and provide recommendations for procedural improvements
Design, establish, and maintain an organizational structure to effectively accomplish the departments goals and objectives
Serve as primary government liaison relative to financial issues
Keeping track on latest regulatory requirements and professional standards and assessing their impacts
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal budgetary reporting requirements
Requirements:
Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business with strong Accounting experience.
Not less than 10 years experience and at least 5 years experience in a senior level finance, accounting or actuarial position, with relevant qualifications (preferred).
Excellent management and supervisory skills, Hands on
Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections
Working knowledge of short and long term budgeting and forecasting, rolling budgets, and product-line profitability analysis.
Familiarity with Hong Kong corporate Governance and management best practices
Exceptional strategic planning, analytical, and creative thinking skills along with superior oral & written as well as interpersonal communication abilities
Fluent in English, both speaking and writing. Mandarin or Cantonese is an added advantage.
