About the Role

The Manila Finance team plays a critical role in safeguarding the integrity of ANZ's financial information through the delivery of accounting, financial control, reporting, and balance sheet control activities. The team supports a broad range of businesses and portfolios, ensuring strong governance, effective controls, regulatory compliance, and the provision of accurate, timely, and reliable financial information.

The role is part of the Financial Control community of practice, with principal accountabilities including:

  • Ensuring compliance with all statutory, regulatory, and financial reporting requirements
  • Supporting the implementation and monitoring of the Group's accounting policies and internal control frameworks
  • Maintaining the integrity of financial information through accurate, reliable, and timely reporting
  • Supporting ANZ's Future of Finance agenda through simplification, standardisation, automation, and continuous improvement
  • Embedding a strong governance and control culture across all activities

Role Location: Solaris One Building, 130 Dela Rosa St. Legaspi Village, Makati City

Role Type: Permanent, full-time; Multiple opportunities available for different levels

Shift Schedule: Dayshift schedules

What will your day look like?

In particular, this role is responsible for:

  • Supporting the finance function, with a focus on delivering the accounting and reporting services to support the onshore teams including the provision of accurate and timely financial and local regulatory information and ensuring that all processes and reporting obligations are adequately met.
  • Managing end-to-end centralized, country-agnostic processes (e.g., journals, reconciliations)
  • Developing deep process expertise while remaining flexible across various statutory & reporting and controls center of excellence functions
  • Ensuring "quality at source" through strong process-level controls
  • Supporting centralized data sourcing, accounting, and reporting services for in-country finance teams
  • Supporting the implementation and ownership of centralised, standardised processes and controls within the Insto team
  • Delivering timely month-end outputs including registers, schedules, reconciliations, and trial balances, ensuring readiness for financial reporting and audits
  • Supporting the BU change agenda, including simplification, automation, and elimination of manual activities in partnership with the FSDI team

What will you bring?


To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

  • Graduate of Accounting, Finance and Commerce or equivalent degree
  • Preferably Chartered Accountant (CA) or CPA with proven experience in Finance services roles
  • Professional experience in financial services roles
  • Solid working knowledge of financial control within a financial services environment
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives
  • Experience in presenting finance matters, including issues and resolutions to stakeholders
  • Experience with automation, data analytics, or digital tools such as Python, KNIME, VBA, Power BI, Alteryx, or similar technologies is highly desirable
