TheFinancial Compliance Analystis responsiblefor maintaining the integrity of Leica Biosystems' financial reporting andcontrolenvironment. The role is responsible for overseeing the global balance sheet review process across multiple legal entities, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP, Danaher policies, and SOX requirements.

This positionreports to theSenior Manager Controllingandis part of theGlobal Corporate Teamlocated inNewcastle upon Tyneand will beanon-siterole

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Lead the global balance sheet review process across Leica Biosystems legal entities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with U.S. GAAP and corporate accounting policies.

  • Oversee the Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance programme, ensuring all control activities are executed, documented, and completed within required deadlines.

  • Act as the primary compliance business partner for local finance teams, providing guidance on accounting, internal controls, and compliance requirements.

  • Support internal audits byadvising local teams oninformation requestsand ensuring prompt resolution of audit findings.

  • Monitor, track, and drive remediation of control deficiencies and compliance risks through to successful closure.

  • Develop, standardise, and enhance financial processes and internal controls to improve consistency, efficiency, and compliance across legal entities.

  • Design and deliver training programs and educational materials on SOX, financial controls, and compliance best practices.

The essential requirements of the job include

  • Professionalqualification(CPA,ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)isessential

  • Significant experience in financial accounting, financial compliance, internal controls, audit, or corporate governance.

  • Experience supporting external or internal audits.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

  • This role shall be based atNewcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom

  • Travel expectations within this role areinternational (15%)

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Knowledgeand experienceof US GAAP and Sarbanes Oxley (SOX).

  • SAP or comparable ERP system experience

  • Experience working within a multinationalorganisationwith multiple legal entities
