Join our Team as a Financial Care Advocate I

Are you passionate about helping patients navigate their healthcare experience while providing exceptional customer service? We’re looking for a compassionate, caring, and dedicated Financial Care Advocate I to join our team and help us continue our tradition of excellence.

In this role, you’ll serve as an important resource for patients by assisting with registration, insurance verification, payment collection, and financial assistance information. As a trusted ambassador of Deaconess, you’ll help create a welcoming environment built on courtesy, respect, empathy, dignity, and optimism while ensuring patients receive the support they need throughout their healthcare journey.

What You'll Do:

• Assist patients with registration, insurance verification, payment collection, and financial assistance resources.
• Deliver exceptional customer service while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and hospital policies.
• Support patient access and account management through registration, financial counseling, cash handling, and administrative functions.
• Collaborate with clinical and operational teams to facilitate patient admissions and care coordination.
• Provide cross-coverage within the Access Department and perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:

• Completion of High School or GED is required.
• Two to four years of experience in a physician office, hospital registration, collection agency, hospital or professional billing, or training at an educational institution that includes medical billing is required.
