Everforth ECS is searching for a Financial Business Analyst (Subject Matter Expert) to work onsite in Montgomery, AL
This position serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for financial business analysis, collaborating closely with customer teams, contract managers, program managers, and procurement teams to optimize the development and performance of financial systems. The successful candidate will act as a bridge between financial operations and software development, guiding technical teams on Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) to ensure that all developed capabilities meet mission execution requirements.
Core Responsibilities:
Requirements & Testing - Analyze business rules, refine and document system requirements, build/execute collaborative test cases, document testing results, and develop user manuals as needed.
System & Data Integrity - Manage and ensure the integrity of financial data tables within a large, complex, and integrated financial system.
Performance Evaluation - Review, analyze, and evaluate performance measurement and financial management indicators to continuously assess the accuracy of the accounting system.
Issue Resolution - Independently resolve complex accounting business rules related to fiscal data, transactions, or financial table structures.
Stakeholder Coordination - Coordinate directly with external stakeholders to accurately reconcile financial data.
Technical Guidance - Advise and guide software developers regarding authoritative GAAP compliance in the development of functional system capabilities.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics is required
3 to 5 years of professional experience associated with Software Development is required. Knowledge of/with the General Accounting and Finance System (GAFS) and Standard Material Accounting System (SMAS) desired.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with highly desirable presentation abilities.
Proficient in determining how mission systems operate and how changes affect systems operations.
Experience supporting IT programs of similar size and scope.
Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, fostering positive relationships, sharing knowledge, and contributing to the achievement of common goals through cooperation and mutual support.
