<div>Title: Financial Billing Specialist<br>Reports To: State Executive Director<br>Classification: Full-Time<br>FLSA Status: Non-Exempt<br><br>JOB SUMMARY<br>Ensure all program-related documentation is accurately maintained. Perform oversight and verification for billing guidelines to maintain individual’s bank accounts and supplemental documentation.<br><br>ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS<br>● Manage individual bank accounts while ensuring all expenditures and credits are supported by complete and compliant documentation.<br>● Monitor individual support plans according to the guidelines of the appropriate federal and/or state agencies.<br>● Assist with specialized training of staff members as required.<br>● Ensure all program-related documentation is accurately maintained, complete, and compliant with applicable policies, billing guidelines, and regulatory requirements.<br>● Manage and monitor individuals’ bank accounts, including reviewing transactions, reconciling balances, and identifying discrepancies.<br>● Maintain supplemental documentation supporting all expenditures, credits, and deposits in accordance with record retention requirements.<br>● Review financial records and supporting documents to ensure alignment with approved program plans and budgets.<br>● Coordinate with program staff, vendors, and financial institutions to resolve documentation, billing, or account discrepancies.<br>● Prepare and maintain organized financial and program files to support internal reviews, audits, and reporting requirements.<br><br>CORE COMPETENCIES<br>● Acting Strategically: Identifies key issues and relationships relevant to achieving goals, and commits to a course of action to accomplish goals based on known and unknown variables. Effectively organizes and balances tasks and priorities to keep multiple projects on track.<br><br>QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE/JOB KNOWLEDGE<br>● High School diploma or equivalent.<br>● Prior work in a non-profit atmosphere and experience with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities are preferred.<br>● A combination of education and experience will be considered.<br><br>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS<br>● Constantly moves about to coordinate work.<br>● Regularly works in a fast-paced environment with multiple task deadlines.<br>● Regularly moves and positions objects weighing up to 50 pounds.<br>● Occasionally exposed to viruses and infectious conditions.<br>● Constantly alert and observant during working hours.<br><br>Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities or medical conditions to perform the essential functions.<br><br>SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES<br>● Will not supervise.<br><br>SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS<br>● Experience managing and reconciling multiple bank accounts.<br>● Knowledge of basic accounting principles (debits, credits, general ledger).<br>● Strong understanding of documentation requirements for expenditures and credits.<br>● Ability to maintain, organized, complete, and compliant financial records.<br>● Must have understanding, patience, and tact in dealing with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.<br>● Must have the ability to maintain good working relationships with Evergreen staff and with contacts from other agencies or entities.<br>● Must have the ability and desire to function as part of a team, yet work with a high degree of independence.<br>● Must have the ability to maintain a high degree of autonomy, accuracy, and integrity.<br><br>SKILLS AND ABILITIES<br>● Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office applications.<br>● Working knowledge of Google Workspace.<br>● Working knowledge of HCBS Waiver requirements.<br>● Aptitude to learn other software programs as required for this position.<br><br>EMPLOYMENT VARIABLES<br>● Must have a good driving record that meets the minimum requirements for Evergreen and reliable transportation.<br>● Must pass a drug screen and criminal background check.<br>● Availability for evening and weekend work may be required based on operational needs.<br><br>WORKING ENVIRONMENT<br>● General office environment.</div>
