Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Financial Assistant to support our accounting and finance department with daily bookkeeping and administrative tasks. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with accounts payable and receivable, reconciling transactions, and ensuring financial documentation is complete and organized. The ideal candidate is dependable, highly organized, and comfortable working with accounting software and spreadsheets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform daily bookkeeping and data entry.
• Process accounts payable invoices and prepare payments.
• Reconcile bank, credit card, and vendor statements.
• Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems.
• Assist with monthly account reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Enter journal entries as directed by the accounting team.
• Verify expense reports and ensure supporting documentation is complete.
• Maintain vendor and customer account information.
• Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Experience with accounting software such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, Sage, or similar ERP systems is preferred.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive financial information.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Experience performing bank reconciliations.
• Familiarity with general ledger accounting.
• Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
