Our client, a growing independent wealth management firm affiliated with LPL Financial, is seeking an Investment Analyst / Associate Advisor to join their expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically minded financial professional who enjoys investment analysis, financial planning, portfolio strategy, and working closely with advisors to support sophisticated client relationships.
The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, intellectually curious, and motivated to grow within the wealth management industry.
What You’ll Do
Investment & Portfolio Analysis
- Conduct portfolio analysis and assist with asset allocation reviews
- Research mutual funds, ETFs, equities, fixed income investments, and alternative investments
- Monitor portfolio performance and identify rebalancing opportunities
- Assist in preparing investment recommendations and portfolio commentary
- Support investment committee initiatives and research projects
- Analyze market trends, economic data, and investment performance
Financial Planning Support
- Assist advisors with financial planning analysis and modeling
- Prepare retirement, cash flow, tax, education, and insurance analyses
- Review client financial data for accuracy and completeness
- Help identify planning opportunities and areas of concern
- Prepare analytical materials and supporting documentation for client meetings
Client & Advisor Support
- Participate in client meetings as appropriate
- Prepare presentation materials, reports, and meeting summaries
- Respond to advisor requests related to investments and planning analysis
- Collaborate with advisors and operations staff to support client needs
- Assist with implementation of investment and planning recommendations
Operational & Strategic Support
- Maintain investment research files and analytical documentation
- Utilize portfolio management and financial planning software systems
- Support process improvement and reporting initiatives
- Assist with special projects and firm initiatives as assigned
- Maintain awareness of regulatory and compliance requirements related to investment activities
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, or related field
- 2–5 years of experience in wealth management, investment analysis, banking, or financial services preferred
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
Preferred Qualifications
- Progress toward or completion of the CFA designation
- Series 7 and Series 66 licenses or willingness to obtain
- Experience with financial planning and portfolio management software
- Familiarity with investment research platforms and portfolio analytics tools
