The Supply Chain Value Analysis Financial Analyst supports clinical and operational decision-making by analyzing organization spend, evaluating financial impact, and identifying opportunities to optimize value while maintaining high-quality patient care. This role partners closely with supply chain, finance, clinicians and leadership to support value analysis initiatives, contract compliance, and cost-reduction strategies. This process allows for the best possible product and service decisions using evidence-based medicine principles, quality patient outcomes, and cost. The Financial Analyst demonstrates comprehensive knowledge in their area of responsibility and performs other duties as assigned.
What you will do
Collect, analyze, and interpret clinical and financial data to support the implementation of cost savings opportunities and quality improvement efforts
Prepare and present reports on findings, recommendations, and progress on value analysis projects to stakeholders and committees
Serve as intermediary between Strategic Sourcing Team and end users, helping to review and analyze new product or service introductions
Collaborate with clinical staff, providers, supply chain, and finance teams to facilitate value analysis projects and initiatives, drive consensus, and resolve barriers
Review new medical products or product change requests and/or coordinate product evaluations
Analyze large volumes of data and summarize and develop actionable metrics for stakeholders
Share knowledge of analyst techniques & data interpretation and cross-check work with team members
Actively contribute to cost containment by monitoring supply utilization and productivity
Plan and implement supply chain optimization projects/product conversions
Prepare monthly performance metrics
Qualifications
Education
Bachelors Degree, (Required)
Bachelors Degree, Project Management, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field (Preferred)
Experience
3-4 years recent, relevant experience in finance or supply chain management (Required)
Experience working in a hospital or health system environment (Preferred)
Skills and Abilities
Ability to analyze health care data from conceptualization throughout the presentation of the data or the procurement of goods or services
Proficiency with data analytical tools and methodologies, including presentation software (Power Point), Lumere, and Workday
Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, formulas, and financial modeling, with project management capabilities
Strong problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions
Excellent communication and collaboration skills across clinical, operational, and leadership teams
Knowledge of healthcare compliances and supply chain best practices, and units of measure, SKUs, and item-level inventory details
Keen attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Licenses and Certifications
Certified Material & Resource Professional (CMRP) (Preferred)
Corporate Performance Management (CPM) (Preferred)
Certified Value Analysis Healthcare Professional (CVAHP) or Project Management Professional (PMP) (Preferred)
