Your role at Clorox:

As a Financial Analyst within the Trade Finance team, you will lead close and forecast activities for several Business Units while working closely with Finance leadership and cross-functional partners. Your area of responsibility will be Trade Spending. Working as a key business partner, you will facilitate business strategies and goals by translating operating activities and results into business insights. As part of Finance, your insights will drive decision-making opportunities across the organization, and your influence will help the company build big-share brands that make everyday life better, every day.

In this role, you will:

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage Trade Spending – Own the trade budget for multiple business units, partnering with Sales and Accounting teams to monitor spending, identify risks and opportunities, and provide stakeholder training.

  • Lead Month-End Close Activities – Ensure trade spending accounts are accurately reported and compliant with GAAP and corporate policies.

  • Drive Forecasting & Planning – Manage annual budgets, forecasts, and plan updates while analyzing variances and identifying opportunities to improve financial performance.

  • Deliver Business Insights – Partner with business leaders to support profitable growth through financial analysis, recommendations, and risk mitigation.

  • Improve Processes & Controls – Streamline financial processes, reporting tools, and systems while maintaining a strong control environment.

  • Lead Special Projects – Support finance transformation initiatives, including new systems, tools, and process improvements.

  • Support Accounting Operations – Prepare journal entries and assist with financial reporting activities as needed.

Years and Type of Experience:

  • Minimum: 1-2 years of finance, accounting or related experience

Skills and Abilities

  • Minimum: Strong capabilities in the following areas:

    • Verbal, interpersonal and written communication

    • Critical thinking and decision making

    • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively communicate and influence across functions and at all levels

    • Innovative thinking, curiosity, and creative thinking

    • Attention to detail

    • Analytical and problem solving

    • Results oriented and initiative

    • Proficient in PC applications (Microsoft Office Preferred). Strong Excel skills.

    • Strong background knowledge in accounting and finance

  • Desirable: Experience with SAP S4 Hana, Anaplan, AI integration (Copilot, etc)

Education Level/Degree:

  • Bachelors degree in business, finance, accounting or related field
